What's the name of the movie poster in his office in the outside shot?

I don't know why I never linked to this before. I thought the Chinese one with the rickshaw bouncing down the "steps" was very funny. I don't know if that was supposed to be funny, since it's Chinese and perhaps in China that's a serious scene, but for me it was funny. I never like to assume, however. I watched a favorite David Lean film with an audience of 20-somethings ("Brief Encounter" and they were laughing uproariously to show how cool they were and how stupid people in the 1940's in Britain were. The real point of the film went completely over their heads. It was very disappointing. Anyway....I keep trying to find what was then a very unique version of the Odessa Steps sequence. It was on public TV. This was in January 1984. It showed performance artist Laurie Anderson interacting with the images onscreen via early CGI/green screen effects. For example, she'd start walking down the steps with the soldiers and then step to the curb as they marched past her. Then she'd try to catch the baby carriage. It was full of things like that. I'm not sure, but I recall it as being on January 1st 1984, but I'm not sure. Maybe it's under some copyright protection or it was just a one-shot deal and no one bothered to copy it, but I haven't been able to find it, although I only look for it occasionally. Maybe one day YOU might find it....

Despite being one of the worst historical movies ever made, that scene in The Untouchables is great.

I don't think somebody being shot and then dramatically falling down a big staircase is that novel of an idea, all descended from one place ...

Rapture was released on Blu-ray by Twilight Time in 2011. No longer in print. The original Georges Delerue 1965 soundtrack was released by Intrada on CD. Now out of print but I believe another label picked it up and they may still have copies.

I took a film class and remember when professor explained "the long take". He asked for an example to share with the class. This was my choice. It was an easy decision and it was clearly the best example of al my classmates.

This whole movie man like a fantasy world such peace it brings through all the chaos I think it really is the beautiful soundtrack that flows with the scenes so well. A masterpiece

As someone whose grown up with wise guys my entire childhood and mingled in my uncles business in my early-mid 20’s, this scene is horse shit lol. In no universe would an associate get this kind of treatment. You know how many associates there are to Cosa Nostra? Thousands. More than you can imagine. And from what I’ve heard about the real Henry Hill, he was bit of a loser.

still one of the best Martin S films. top notch. this film never gets old. the soundtrack is amazing brings me back when my parents were around this age back then in the 60s. RiP Ray Liotta who looked hell lot like my Uncle C.

We will never see this type of directing ever again, even from Scorsese himself now. Such a magic, unforgettable scene. RIP Ray Liotta.
